We are seeking a skilled and experienced Part-Time Millwright Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of industrial and commercial machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial and commercial machines, including but not limited to pumps, motors, conveyors, and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and develop effective solutions to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Disassemble machinery, conduct inspections, and replace worn or defective parts as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and maintain accurate records of service performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a millwright or mechanic, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work afternoon/evening shifts as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
